Description

Reserve Wine 2020

Light and juicy, full of creamy lemon yoghurt with yellow plum and baked pasty notes.

Bright with balanced acidity that gives the expression a slightly sharp and tangy edge

but it’s also round and long too. Excellent detail on show, perfect to enjoy as an

aperitif, but will also match well with food. Crisp citrus elements mingle with green

apple, buttery toast. The texture is full and nicely filling with energy, freshness and lift

the whole way through. A subtle hint of sweetness at the end gives contrast to the

citrus fruits and leaves you wanting more. A blend of 40% each of Pinot Noir and

Meunier and 20% Chardonnay aged for 36 months on the lees. 91Pts Decanter

Close-knit family, two brothers sharing a common vision and then passing on their

values to the next generation, all this and more makes up the story of Champagne Huré-Fréres: started just over 50 years ago and still very much a family business.Today Raoul Huré and his two sons, Francois and Pierre invite you to discover their maison at Ludes in the Montagne de Reims.

Francois Hure said : What we believe in : Champagne is a patchwork quilt of different terroirs with each Village, each slope and eachplot of land offering its own unique aromatic profile.

Everything we do is designed not only to respect these differences but to express them as much as possible.

When it comes to our Winemaking we select only the finest grapes so as to make champagnes that are complex and elegant: a living reflection, in fact, of the soil from which they are born.

Different yet unique, our champagnes are waiting to be discovered by lovers of fine Wine everywhere

Aware of the environmental footprint we leave, when producing a premium Champagne, we have chosen to make use of environmentally sustainable farming practices. We feel that there are three main areas of importance, namely: the terroir, the surrounding vegetation / plant life and the varying climatic conditions.

These methods help to maintain the quality of the soil and encourage the growth of Vines that produce healthy, ripe and balanced grapes, which are crucial to producing our high-quality champagne.

  • Use of organic composts
  • Minimal tillage of the soil
  • Maintenance of natural ground cover
  • Careful pruning, and pruning method adapted to each Vine
  • Constant and meticulous observation on our vines
  • Meticulous thinning of the plants and canopy management

We liken our winemaking to that of a river. It starts upstream in the vineyards and flows downstream into the cellar. Our winemaking is a continuous flow of processes and procedures. Another important factor that we take into consideration of is the preservation of the various ‘grape personalities’.

Over time, we find them to be rich, balanced and fruity. By means of environmentally sustainable farming practices, the grapes are given the opportunity to express their various personalities and reach their full dynamism within a relatively short period of time.
