The 2021 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a perfumed, chalky, malic bouquet displaying more energy than others tasted from this climat. The palate is well-balanced with a slightly honeyed entry, fine acidity, and good density with a touch of heaviness on the finish. I’d give this a couple of years in bottle because there’s promise here.
