Description
91-94 points/’Sweet spot/Outstanding,’ Allen Meadows (Burghound): “Once again, firm reduction and wood toast are all that can be detected. There is excellent richness and volume to the beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that exude a refreshing salinity on the firm, compact and built-to-age finale. This is potentially outstanding though at least some patience is recommended. Drink: 2031+. (Oct 2022)”
The whole of the Côte Chalonnaise fortunately avoided the frost of April 13th which caused damage higher up in certain Burgundy estates. The summer was hot and the harvest went ahead quite normally. A vintage focused on balance and a very fine finish, the wines will undoubtedly be marked by the beauty of the fruit and its freshness.
