Made from vines planted in 1999 and aged in French barriques for 18 months. A light medium ruby red.

With its aromas of blackcurrants, peony, cedar and herbs, this is at the more fragrant and delicate end of the cabernet spectrum. On the palate, this medium bodied wine has real depth and substance, but those chewy, fine grained and persistent tannins mean another five to seven years are needed for it to fulfil its potential.

The Zuccaro family own and operate their Six Acres vineyard and winery in the Yarra Valley, to
produce wines they love and can be proud of.
Planted in 1999, the vineyard is located in Silvan in the upper reaches and southern hills of the Yarra
Valley. Dry-grown on red volcanic soils, Ralph, Lesley and family intimately work their vineyard using
biological farming methods and to nourish and nurture their six acre vineyard.
Their primary focus is to maximise the potential of the vineyard to make the very best wine they can.
Their aim each year is to produce bright, textural wines using indigenous yeasts and natural to be as
true to each season, the fruit and the vineyard without filtering or fining.
Six Acres Wines have regularly scored gold and silver medals, including at the Royal Melbourne Wine
Show and Yarra Valley Wine Show, and has achieved five-star winery status with the Halliday Wine
Companion.
Ralph and Lesley Zuccaro continually push to create more innovative ways to produce their wines
while not losing their hands-on, artisan approach to generating wines which naturally express their
site and the fruit of each season.
All wines are vegan friendly and made in an ecologically sustainable way.
