vintageconditions.
Noclimaticeventdisruptedthisvintage.Therewasamomentof
nervousnessduringthefloweringperiod,duetoacoldspell,butthiswas
laterproventonotaffectourharvest.
Summerwasdry,withafewdaysofheatwavesleadinguptothe9th
Septemberwhenlightraincametosoftenourtanninsandre-balance
alcohollevels.
Theredswereharvestedfrom Wednesday18thSeptemberto11th
October.Theideawastoobtainincreasedfreshness,soweslightly
adjustedtheorderinwhichweharvestedcomparedtousual.TheMerlots
wereharvested‘àlacarte’fromthe18thto30thSeptember.Weharvested
youngplotsofPetitVerdotandCabernetSauvignononthe2ndOctober,
andfromthe7thOctoberthewholeteamcametogetherfor5daysto
completethe2019harvest.
Thereisenergyinthiswine!
Inthemouth,thereisarareelegance,finesseandauniquetexturethat
envelopsthepalate.Thisblendisalreadytastingverywell.Thereisan
aromaticprecisionandmouthfeelthatwill,withoutadoubt,remain
characteristicsofthisvintage.
