Description

The Le Clos vineyard is also approximately 60 years old but the soil is clay and limestone. The grapes were directly pressed and initially aged on fine lees for 9 months in 400 litre barrels that that had been filled between 1 and 5 times. It was then assembled and spent another 3 months in a foudre. It has 3g/l of residual sugar. If you are familiar with Carême labelling on their scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is dry and 5 is sweet it is 1.5. It is a powerful wine with a long and lingering finish. Also a food wine, it is ideal for matching with richer dishes, especially anything with some spiciness. Certified organic. ABV 14%. Certified organic.
